
On the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, authorized representatives act on the contracting for the re broadcast of the public communication networks’ program services and representatives of film, sport and other rights over contents that are broadcasted in the program services of the domestic broadcasters.
The representatives’ registers has a record keeping (non constitutive character) and its purpose is to facilitate the contacts of the public communication networks’ operators and the broadcasters with authorized representatives, as well to increase the legal security during the contracting for the re broadcast and the agreements for buying the contents that are to be broadcasted on the radio and television program services of the domestic broadcasters.
The register is in the service of the protection of the copy rights and the related rights that the Broadcasting Council takes into consideration according to its professional obligations, and in accordance with its competence arising from the Broadcasting Activity Law, as in the terms of the re broadcast of the program services at public communication networks operators and in the terms of the programs of the domestic broadcasters on all the level of broadcast.
The register is opened as well for all the other non registered authorized representatives that can submit applications on the address of the Broadcasting Council: 3, Blvd. VMRO, 1000 Skopje or on the Council’s e-mail: copyrights@srd.org.mk
Every authorized representative, should submit to the application the following documents: resolution for inscription in the Central Register of the Republic of Macedonia, and information on the manager of the legal entity, the seat address, the telephone, e –mail and web address (if it is a legal entity); or authorization or other appropriate documentation as a proof of its representative quality, and information for the official address, the telephone, e-mail and the web address (of it is an individual).
