The Broadcasting Council of Republic of Macedonia pays a big attention to the protection of the minors from media programs, which could be harmful for them. In 2007 the Broadcasting Council adopted a Rulebook for Minors’ Protection (Macedonian Version) from programs that can be harmful for their physical and moral development.

This Rulebook is regulates program’s categorizations, the shapes of audio and visual warnings, aimed to inform the audience about the content of certain programming. This Rulebook also defines the time periods in which radio and television programs that can be harmful for the physical, psychical and moral growth of children and young people can be broadcast.

The Rulebook has been published in the Official Gazette of RM, No. 21/07 from 22 February 2007 and has a power of a by-law.
The Broadcasting Council has also made additional Comments of the Rulebook( Macedonian Version) in order to make its implementation easier and more comprehensive.
